Leonardo’s Swans by Karen Essex
As they cross the Adda River, the soldiers are singing, “Now it’s Il Moro’s turn to dance!” Was anything more satisfying to a human being than the downfall of the mighty?
I am still in 15th century Italy. My sister is married to a powerful man who has made alliances with Germany and France, and France is bearing down on Italy. I fear for the future of my country. (Leonardo’s Swans by Karen Essex)
And when I’m listening to my MP3 player, I’m in Trenton, New Jersey, working as a bounty hunter. My sidekick, Lula, is an ex-hooker, and I’m trying to dodge homicide detective Joe Morelli. He’s gorgeous, but he might just want to arrest me for murder, so I’m keeping clear of him. (Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich)

Ooooh. We love Stephanie Plum. If ever I am in a slump, a little Lula in lycra pants, some steamy action with Morelli, and Ranger! That will do it for me. In my mind’s eye, Ranger IS Dwayne Johnson. Pure mind candy.
I love that cover. Great teaser!

Gautami – Hmmm, Dwayne Johnson as Ranger… He looks different in my head. But I agree, the books are mind candy – and I’m loving them! I was only going to listen to one Stephanie Plume before launching Drums in Autumn, but I decided to do two since they’re so short.
Gautami – the book is great, too!
I’m a Plum fan too. Made it all the way through #14. Is this a new look? Something is different. I like it.

I love Janet Evanovich and I so want to read Leonardo’s Swans. I hope you’re happy in your new home – it looks lovely!
The fall of the mighty always seems to be celebrated whether the mighty are the good guys or not
Love Steph, Joe & Ranger!

Beth – I’ll bet Leonardo’s Swans will be great on audio.
Tea – I’m fairly new to Stephanie Plum – I’m only on book three.
Fleur – thank you.
Stacy – that’s for sure.
Ok…Your Stephanie Plum teaser has solidified my decision…I must read these books.
The polar opposites of your visual and listening reads completely crack me up! I think I’d prefer the one you are listening to.

Deanna – yes, you must – they are hilarious!
Bumbles – yes, my reading tastes are extremely varied.
Love the Plum books. I sure wish they still were as charming as the early ones though *sigh*.

Ladytink – It must be hard to write the same character and keep it fresh. I’ll keep listening as long as they’re entertaining!
