Going to the Sunday pavement book bazaar in Central Delhi, is my undoing. I end up buying at least 20 books all for a pittance! Book gluttons, are we?

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Our library is good about ordering books that we request and they nearly always have the latest bestsellers. As much as I love bookstores, I’d be lost without my library. There are always library books in my TBR stack!

The library is one reason I rarely make head way in my physical TBR pile at home. I’m constantly requesting books from the library and as they come in those are my priority to read before the due date.

Kathy – I know, and only 6 books left to buy! One thing that keeps saving me is the ARC and Review copies and giveaway wins I’ve had recently. When the packages come into the house, and my husband raises his eyebrows at me, I can say, “Hey, I didn’t buy them!”

Heather – yeah, I don’t think the publishing industry would like that very much.

Vasilly – I’d be in big trouble if there was a $1 bookstore in my town!

JLS – I know, I just wish they’d let me in before everyone else – it gets really crowded!

JoAnn – I’m not sure if I would have stuck to my commitment so closely if our financial situation hadn’t changed. Too tempting!

Jackie – I wish there were more opportunities for used books in our area – we live in a pretty teeny town, so the library sales are just about it.

Sandy – I agree – I don’t purchase audios, either – way too expensive. And I’m plugging my ears to all this talk of Kindles – I can’t hear you!

I try SO HARD to stick with the library. I have no choice on the audios…no way I am going to pay what those cost. But when I have coupons in hand, it is so tempting to buy a new book that will take me six months to get through the library wait list. Now, with the Kindle, I can shop at 2 in the morning in my underwear. Way too convenient!

I could easily stick to buying only 20 full price books a year – that actually sounds like quite a lot. It is amazing how many books you can find for just a few pence/cents if you know where to look!

I’m a book glutton! I did limit myself to about 40 books this year but have went way over. It didn’t help that there was a $1 bookstore in my area. I’m using the library more and hope to read at least 30 of my own books this year.
