LF – My dad is a Vietnam Vet, too. Have you read The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien? Excellent semi-autobiographical novel about that war. Very moving.

I like books where the setting is a character too. This does sound like a good one, Carrie. The link to the Vietnam War especially caught my attention. And I’m curious about Cal. My dad being a vet from that war, I’ve always been drawn to stories that touch on that experience, however slightly.

Wow, I’m writing this one down. I graduated from a high school in the Tidewater area of Virginia in 1975 – this sounds like a must read for me.
