Susi – you got #2, #7, and #9 – but #3 isn’t Oliver Twist, #4 is, as guessed by Shelley.

Julie – yes, it’s Wuthering Heights! Good guess. I don’t know how many of these I would have recognized going in cold, either. In fact, I’ve only read four of them. Sshhh, don’t tell anyone….

Raidergirl – yes, it’s Les Mis. I’ve seen the musical, but haven’t been brave enough to attempt the book – it’s monstrously long!

Shelley – you’re five for five – cool! And I get to pick my own anti-spam words, and I change them every once in a while. Yes, there are a lot of Austen words – I was on a Victorian lit theme.

The anti-spam words are evidently on a Austen kick: the first one was “persuasion”, and this one says “prejudice.”

9. Wuthering Heights – Emily Bronte

#2 should be ‘North and South’ – at least guessing by the character’s names.
#3 could be ‘Oliver Twist’
#7 has to be ‘Brave New World’
#9 is ‘Wuthering Heights’ – just had to read it for class.

With all of the other ones, I’m drawing a blank. When someone else guesses it, I bet I’ll be all ‘of course’, but right now, I have no idea. And I hope I haven’t guess to many and ruined all of the fun – if I have, feel free to delete the comment and let others join the fun!
