Michelle - I thought season two was even better - it felt like everyone had settled into their characters really well.

YAY for Burn Notice. I've watched most of the season one DVD and just purchased season two so I can get through it all in one fell swoop. I really like that I don't have to wait through an entire week to see the next episode! TV on DVD is a fabulous way to go about it :)

LF - I know - I wish you could order cable a la carte - only pay for the channels you want. We've had pretty good luck with Netflix - only a few damaged DVDs over the last few years that we've had Netflix. We also have best friends who buy a lot of series on DVD and they loan them to us. :)

I wish our cable company offered a more basic cable package than the one they call basic. So many of those channels go to waste. Wouldn't it be nice if we could pick and choose more discriminately? Anyhow, I really like Netflix too. We've had mixed results with their TV show DVDs in terms of them working or being damaged. We often will try out a new show on Netflix that we were curious about and if we like it, end up buying it down the road.

Kathy - but not you? :) I guess it is more of a guy-type of show, but I like it anyway.

Dani - we used to have satellite, and it took us a while to get used to having less. But I find it's easier to limit the kids TV time if there are less choices. When we had satellite, they had it on all the time - and it seems like there are episodes of Spongebob on 24/7 on at least one network! We love Bones at our house, too - that's one series we actually watch as it airs. :)

There's no chance of going down to basic cable in this house! We'd miss Disney, Nickelodeon, BBC America, and all the music and home improvement channels. We don't spend a lot of money on other entertainment options, so I don't mind.

TV Shows on DVD are great! We watch a lot of TV but with scheduling conflicts we can't catch everything the first time around. Summer seems to be the time that we put our Netflix subscription to work catching up on something. This year it is "Bones". I know there are reruns available on several channels, but I like to watch shows in order.

Stacy - How did I forget The Closer? We love that show! And my husband isn't a sports fan - I'm the only one who watches football, and only my beloved Seahawks, and most of the games are on Fox, so we're good. :)

I would love to only have basic cable, but someone in our house MUST have every ESPN station possible!
I love the USA networdk too! I love Psych & Monk and sometimes Burn Notice. Psych is probably my favorite. Old Christine makes me laugh. Have you tried 30 Rock? I also like The Closer.
