Stacy – the movie was actually very well done and stayed true to the book. After watching the trailers, it seemed they had turned it into some huge fantasy epic, but the trailers were misleading – they kept to the heart of the story. It was one of a few times when I wasn’t disappointed by a book-to-movie adaptation.

Beth – Cornelia Funke has become one of our favorite chidlren’s authors.

Bonnie – yes, it is – I plan on reading it aloud to my boys when we study WW II this year.

Hey girl! I’m back! I doubt I will be going through all the posts I’ve missed since I’ve been gone . For a certain amount of time while I was gone, I was able to read posts, but when I tried to respond, a virus would invade my nephew-in-law’s computer. Anyway, I was excited to see this post. We loved Number the Starts as an audio, and Emma enjoyed Dragon Rider. I’m going to write these down as future books for us!
