trish´s last blog ..Not liking a book vs. not “getting” a book
Sure, Trish – I love posts like that – that provoke great discussions in the comments.
Wow, those are some great links. Thanks for posting these, including mine.
Serena (Savvy Verse & Wit)´s last blog ..Are You an Examiner?
You’re welcome, Serena.
Thanks for linking to my post. I see you’ve also linked to A Good House. I thought that was a wonderful book. Even read it twice!
Thanks for all these links. The Washington Times article was interesting. I generally give a book at least 50 pages before giving up, although some of my favorites didn’t grab me until after 80+ pages (Atonement; Life of Pi)
Les in NE´s last blog ..Favorite Quote Friday
Les – I usually give it at least 50 pages – more like 100 if I’m on the bubble. I’m definitely adding A Good House to my wish list!
These are great links – and it’s always reassuring to see how many books other people add to their want-to-read piles after reading the reviews, because I know I sure add a lot!
rhapsodyinbooks´s last blog ..Sunday Salon – Review of “The 19th Wife,” by David Ebershoff
Rhapsody – I know – I’ll never get all of the books on my list read, but I keep adding to it anyway!
Thanks for all the links. I especially liked two near the end: The 100 Best Classes from an Ivy League School. Found a couple I’m interested in. Also The article about giving up on books we just don’t like. I know this is a lot of work pulling all the links together. I appreciate it. I often forget to come back and say thank you. So, thanks for the past and probably future posts as well.
Margot´s last blog ..A Book Rating System
