When I hadn’t seen May’s light for two days and wouldn’t come down from the widow’s walk for most of the weekend, Eva decided she’d had enough. She got a lobsterman to take her out to the island to fetch May, the same way she had with Lyndley, but again she came back alone.

Thomas thought about the Changing, and the fact that it brought back memories. The idea hadn’t occurred to him before, but would it be worth it to get stung by the Grievers, go through that horrible process, just to remember something?

The Lace Reader was one of my favorites from last year. Haven’t read The Maze Runner, but it sounds intriguing – I’ll have to take a closer look. Those are both great teasers!
