I think I went a little challenge crazy, don’t you? Oh, well, it’s been fun trying to complete them. My reading plans have taken a real hit in the past few months, with all the ARCs and review copies and blog tours, as well as my need to click over to the library web site every time I read a review I like. I’m going to try to complete as many as I can; we’ll see how successful I’ll be.

Yay, you’ve read a lot in August! I finished just 2… (1 for a challenge — of which I have just 4 btw LOL). Good luck with finishing your huge list of challenges!

Gnoe – thanks! There are a few that will have to be abandoned, I know. I just went challenge crazy!

I am slowly chipping away at the challenges, but keep signing up for more! I always tell myself that nobody is going to come and shoot me if I don’t finish though. I have decided that I’m not going to do any more ARCs for the rest of the year, after I finish the one I have coming up mid month. I have to get focused!

Rhapsody – thanks! It was a good month – I was sucking up every ounce of our summer vacation that I could. Our homeschooling year starts tomorrow, so I will have much less reading time.

Beth – summer break with lots of afternoons at the park and pool with the kids – makes it easy to find lots of time to read!
Oh – you loved The Lace Reader. I haven’t gotten to it yet, so your rating is encouraging.

Thoughts of Joy – I did love it! I wrote my review, but it won’t go up until September 17th for the blog tour.
14 books in one month is a LOT. You are doing so good – a wonderful reading month.

Andreea – I actually did like it very much! I haven’t read any other reviews – I’ve tried to avoid them so that I wouldn’t have anything spoiled for me. What did you dislike about it?
It’s hard to believe September is right around the corner. This summer is flying by. I am looking forward to reading your review of The Promised World. I’ll be posting my review on Tuesday for that one. The Lace Reader is a book I’ve been meaning to get to. I’ve heard such great things about it.
I’ve seriously been thinking of dropping out of many of my challenges. I went through this about this time last year and decided to stick it out, but this year, I think I might just drop out anyway. I definitely went crazy signing up for them. LOL
I hope you have a great September, Carrie, and a wonderful week.
