Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? Popcorn and pepsi. (Haven’t had it in a long time, now that I’m counting calories!)
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you? I write in non-fiction often, fiction occasionally.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open? Bookmarks.
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both, but a lot more fiction.
Hard copy or audiobooks? Both.
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point? I prefer the end of chapters, but with four kids, that doesn’t always happen.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Not if I can get the gist of it from context. I’ll jot it down on the back of my bookmark to look up later. If I am completely lost, I’ll stop and look it up.
What are you currently reading? See the sidebar – I’m pre-posting this a week or so early, and it always changes.
What is the last book you bought? The latest 39 Clues for my son’s birthday.
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time? I read many books at a time.
Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read? Nope – anytime, anywhere.
Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? I like both.
Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? Trinity by Leon Uris and Peace Like a River by Leif Enger.
How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Organize? Bwahahahahaha……

I’m enjoying reading everyone’s answers.
Oh, I love your last answer, LOL.

Melody – that question would make my husband fall on the floor laughing – he’s always complaining about the stacks of books next to our bed.

Jeez, I thought we were only supposed to answer one or two questions! And in five words or less! That was so very hard for me to do! Now I wish I would have done them all! Fun meme!

Michelle – I know – that’s one of the reasons I’m having a hard time with Wives and Daughters – some of the chapters are really long, and there aren’t any chapter breaks, so I tend not to pick it up unless I know I have a lot of time.
Popcorn would be a great snack while reading! I would try it but popcorn in the UK is pretty disgusting. It makes me miss movie theater popcorn at home in the US!
