    I had completely forgotten this was the day. Not only was this monumental for Germany, it was for Poland as well. My husband and I were in Berlin just one and a half years later, then traveled over the border to Poland. What a mess everything was. It took years and years for some form of normalcy to return.

      Sandy – I can imagine! Looking at these photos brought tears to my eyes. My world history teacher (I was a senior in high school) brought a TV into the classroom and we watched the wall as it came down – pretty amazing.
