Not much has changed in the old “currently reading” stack – too busy with birthday celebrations and NaNoWriMo. I did finish The Geography of Love and started A Killing Frost, but am still in-progress on The Invention of Everything Else and Beside a Burning Sea.

Like the finale of a fireworks display, the number and size of explosions intensified. Annie moved to Akira’s side, thinking of men who were dying, wishing that Benevolence was nearby so that some of these men could be saved.

A Killing Frost
I could see the white of the searchlight through the water and I avoided that, but the helicopter was coming right in over my head and very low, buffeting the water violently. It was churning up waves and making me even colder.
