Loved this book. Poor Lily! Even in my lifetime, I've seen woman make her mistakes.

Amy - I'm starting Ethan Frome next, since it's the only other one Daily Lit has. I also have a book called The Portable Edith Wharton - it has letters and essays and some short fiction, I think.

Yeah for Edith Wharton. She and Willa Cather are my favorite classic authors. She's written 28 books and they are not easy to find. I'm still working my way through. I bough one while visiting The Mount, her summer home in the Berkshires a few years back. Her autiobiography A Backwards Glance is phenomenal. Ethan Frome is a moody classic that most read in high school. I ADORE Glimpses of the Moon (about a couple who pretend to be married and spend a year traveling the world staying at friends' houses) and The Twilight Sleep (the Jazz Age). Another great one is Old New York-- 4 novellas that each cover a different decade.

And the film version with Gillian Anderson of House of Mirth is quite well done.

Tasha - I'm not sure that many books will equal Age of Innocence, but this is still definitely worth the time. :)
