almosthome
Almost Home by Pam Jenoff – This is a review copy from the author.

villette
Villette by Charlotte Bronte – This is a gift from the lovely Amy Steele.

jennafox
cityofbones
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – These two books were the consolation purchases Natalie and I made at Barnes and Noble Friday night when we couldn’t get tickets to see New Moon. I picked the first, she picked the second, but we’ll both read both. :)

Any new books in your house this week?

I just received Adoration of Jenna Fox from the library…the reviews have been insanely good! I also have to comment on the cover of Almost Home. I’m mesmerized by it.

Great consolation picks! I so want to read the Adoration of Jenna Fox.

I seem to forget that Charlotte Bronte wrote other books besides Jane Eyre. Villette is one I have to add to my to-read list.

Mary – I won’t be reviewing it until February or so – to coincide with the paperback release. It does look good – I may read it soon and just post-date my review post.

Villette sounds like something I should keep an eye out for.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Adoration of Jenna Fox.

I really didn’t like City of Bones, but obviously other people have…

Adoration of Jenna Fox is everywhere right now! I just picked up a copy myself in the past week or so. I’ve heard such good things about it that I’m going to get on reading it after Beautiful Creatures and Liar.

  10. I’ve had Villette on my TBR shelf for years now. I tried reading it once several years ago but couldn’t get into it. I put it back to try again later, but haven’t managed to make time for it. I’ll be really curious to read your thoughts on it, Carrie. Almost Home is a book I’m looking forward to reading one of these days. Enjoy all your new books!

Wendy – I was excited to read Villette, then my best friend told me the ending made her want to throw the book across the room – although she still says I should read it. I have mixed feelings!

City of Bones is awesome! I love this series.

I just picked up the unabridged audio book of City of Glass from the library.

Even though this series is a bit more juvenile than I think it could be, I’ve enjoyed it just the same.
