Reading Challenges for 2010

Instead of flooding my blog with individual posts for each and every challenge I’m joining for 2010 – and there are a lot! – I decided to do one post linking you to the pages I have set up for each challenge. Each page links to the challenge host and tells what my commitment level is.

100+ Reading Challenge
Art History Reading Challenge
Audiobook Challenge
Christy Awards Challenge
Historical Reading Challenge
Essay Reading Challenge
New Authors Challenge
Read the Book, See the Movie Challenge
Reading From My Shelves
South Asian Author Challenge
Speculative Fiction Challenge
Support Your Local Library Challenge
TwentyTen Reading Challenge
War Through the Generations Challenge
What’s In a Name? Challenge
Women Unbound Challenge
YA Reading Challenge

Now, I know that seems like a lot – but my commitment for many of these challenges is only 2, 3, or 5 books – and many books can count for multiple challenges. I’m probably crazy to attempt this many challenges, but I know I will have fun trying!

That’s a great idea to do your post this way! I think I’ll do the same thing with my challenges next time. I’m signed up for a ton of challenge but I’m only reading a small amount for each and cross-posting. Good luck with your challenges.

Wow… looks like a lot, but they’re great goals! I think I may sign up for a few myself! :)

Might be a little late jumping in, but I wonder if I could pull off the Harry Potter challenge before July? It’s been a couple years and I’ve been wanting to re-read them.

I’m with you! Once February gets here I’ll be in a total of 14 challenges, but they all allow overlap. We are in 6 of the same challenges. I’ll be seeing you around! =)

Wowzers, that’s a lot of challenges! I think I’d get confused just trying to keep track of that many :) I hope they introduce you to lots of great new books!

We’re sharing some of the same challenges for the upcoming year :)

I’ve actually got to add the Audiobook challenge to my list it overlaps with pretty much everything so the potential for success is much higher.

    Good luck!

Michelle – I only signed up for challenges with the potential to overlap, except the Christy’s Challenge I think. Of course those will count toward my 100+ goal, so they still count double.

  11. Here’s a really easy one to add, as it requires just one book! (Plus, you can win some new Arabic fiction in translation….)
