Her heart had been torn out. It was lying on the king-size bed about a foot and a half from her, pulped and squashed and slippery, sort of a scarlet and grey color.

whereareyou

I’m in Saigon, getting ready to open a center for Vietnamese street children, in order to fulfill my father’s dying wish. (Dragon House)

I’m also in Chicago, helping a police detective solve a grisly murder, one that involves dark magic. (Storm Front)

And I’m in Fraser’s Ridge, North Carolina, walking the fine line between Tory and Whig, Loyalist and Revolutionary, with my husband, Jamie. (Breath of Snow and Ashes, Diana Gabaldon – on audio)

The Storm Front teaser is pretty gory… and now that I think about it, probably accurate! I’m also reading a very bloody book right now, Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton… but my teaser is from Alone by Marissa Farrar.

I have The Dragon House to read – it looks like it will be good.

Thanks for the heads up on This World We Live In – I was able to get it from Net Galley! I am so excited – I am definitely getting me a lap top now – my husband doesn’t like it that I don’t set with him on the couch in the evening. He doesn’t care what I am doing, just likes having me close!
