It’s a new year of challenges for the Army Wives as Denise and Frank fight to save their marriage and Claudia Joy discovers a life-changing personal truth of her own. Newly promoted Joan wrestles with a major decision that affects her husband and new baby, while Roland imagines what his life would be like had he taken a different path. Pamela questions Chase’s family commitment after he returns from capture and Roxy encounters unexpected new responsibilities as Trevor explores a new job in the army. Follow the dreams and friendships of four very different women, and one man, as they tackle the real-life challenges of families on the home front with humor, grace and unending loyalty to one another.
Experience all 18 episodes of Season Three, complete with the exclusive bonus feature Stationed in the South, the cast’s personal tour of Charleston, South Carolina, the city Army Wives calls home – available only on this 5-disc DVD set!
Because we were away most of the weekend, I’ve only had a chance to watch the first few episodes of this third season of Army Wives, but it’s proving just as addictive as ever. I love the four main actresses – and the fact that each of the women they portray has a distinct personality. I also like the fact that the show doesn’t shy away from showing the consequences of choices we make in our personal life – and how those choices effect not only our own lives, but the lives of everyone else around us.
With fantastic actresses like Kim Delaney, Catherine Bell, Sally Pressman, and Brigid Brannagh, as well as Sterling K. Brown as the token “army husband,” the drama pulls you right in to the story. The storylines sometimes have a tendency to get a bit soap opera-ish – what with everything under the sun being thrown at these five families – but the level of acting keeps it from being mawkish or melodramatic. This show is one addiction I won’t be giving up any time soon.
Army Wives: The Complete Third Season will be available on DVD on February 9th.

It’s a shame how I can’t keep track of shows. I really liked the first season of this one and I had no idea that it was still coming on.

Nicole – well, you can catch up on DVD!
I would really love to check this one out! I seem to remember my sister-in-law (who is an Army wife) mentioning how great it was.
