Teaser Tuesdays – May 25, 2010

Get Lucky by Katherine Center

On the way, I drove carefully, wearing a little maternity interview suit Mackie had mail-ordered, and it’s so funny to think back on that morning now, my five-months-pregnant, grumpy self in my pointy shoes and stockings with my hair tamped down in a little bun, trying so hard to make a change in my life. Taking yourself that seriously is sometimes just begging for a pie in the face.

The Wives of Henry Oades by Johanna Moran

I am interesting in reading Henry Oades. Life must be a bit tough if jail looks more attractive than normal life.

Marg – I think every mom has a day or two when she thinks being isolated from everyone else with no responsibility would be heavenly!

Sandy – she really is fun to read – I’m wishing I had nothing to do today so I could sit down and finish Get Lucky!

Harvee – I don’t know if she has better choices – haven’t gotten that far in the book yet! :)
