    I hadn’t thought of Elizabeth Banks for this role, but I think that’s really good casting. I don’t know the others and apart from Prim, I didn’t think much about who should play those roles.

      Amy – I really like the Elizabeth Banks casting, too! I only know the girl playing Glimmer from Grey’s Anatomy – she played Mark Sloane’s daughter. And the woman playing their mom is very good – she was on a season of ER.

    Oh, Elizabeth Banks is BRILLIANT casting! The person they have for Glimmer looks about right too. I’m excited but scared too.

      Michelle – I definitely think they got Effie and Glimmer and the mom right – I think Prim looks right, but I don’t know her work, so we’ll have to see. I’m getting excited!

      Sandy – I’m not too happy about Peeta, but after reading Suzanne Collins’s post about Jennifer Lawrence, and watching some clips from Winter’s Bone, I think she’ll do well.

    I’m ok with these. I think Banks will be perfect and Malcomson was fantastic on Deadwood. I kinda hated Rambin on Grey’s Anatomy, but she’ll probably be good for this role.

      Melissa – I forgot about Malcomson on Deadwood. My husband loved that show – I didn’t care for it much, but she was good. And I agree – I didn’t like Rambin on Grey’s, but I think she has the right look and character for Glimmer.

    I think these are all great choices, although I pictures Prim and Katniss’ mom a little differently. Excellent choices for Effie and Glimmer!
