Summer Movie Preview, Part 3

To recap, here’s Part One and Part Two. And now, the three summer movies I am the most excited about – and, not surprisingly, they are all based on books.

The Help – I cried watching the trailer. (August 12th)

One Day – I will bring an entire box of Kleenex to this one. (July 8th – Sorry, no trailer for this one yet.)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 – You knew this one would be here, right? (July 15th)

OMG! I am really looking forward to Harry Potter and The Help. Harry Potter books were the best part of my childhood – can’t believe that it’s all coming to an end!
I really need to read One Day!

Misha – I guess my age is showing – I read all of the HP books as a grown-up – with kids! LOL

  2. LOL! I also cried when I watched The Help movie trailer! The movie looks fabulous … I hope it’s as wonderful as the novel!

Annie – me, too! I listened to the audiobook, and the woman playing Minnie in the movie is the same one who read Minnie on the audiobook – she was excellent!

OK, all three of these are going to be seen by me, no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT. The only thing is…I don’t get that picture of One Day. It is not a good representation of the book, and does nothing for me.

Sandy – I know – I wish there was a trailer of One Day out, but there isn’t yet. I am more excited about the casting after watching The Way Back – Jim Sturgess was brilliant in it.

Oh my goodness, The Help looks so good! And it doesn’t look as though it is too far from the book but it is probably a bit early to tell just yet!

Marg – I hope they stick closely to the book for that one, especially.

    Dear THE HELP (the movie),

Please, please, please, please PLEASE be as good as THE HELP (the book), which was SO good. If you’re even as good as your trailer, you’ll be in the clear. But seriously. Please

    Sincerely,
