The Adjustment Bureau – Smart thriller; intriguing concept; free will vs. destiny/God’s will.

Unknown – Keeps you guessing; great twist; Liam Neeson brilliant as usual.

Beastly – A terrible thing to happen to such a good book.

True Grit – Beautifully filmed with brilliant performances; Hailee Steinfeld one to watch.

What a great concept – ten word movie reviews. I’ll put The Adjustment Bureau and Unknown on my to-view list but am unsure about True Grit.

Emm – it is definitely a Western, so if that’s not your thing, you might want to give it a pass.

The only one of those I saw was True Grit and I thought it was really good too.

Kathy – It’s nice to see recently made Westerns that hold up to the genre – like this one and 3:10 to Yuma.
Don’t know the book that Beastly is based on, but agree that it was pretty lame. But then, I’m not it’s target audience, got it to see Neil Patrick Harris, and he wasn’t in it enough…

Terri – Neil Patrick Harris was the only thing that kept me from feeling I completely wasted my time watching that one.

Totally agree with Beastly. Ugh. I even saw the damned thing in the theater with my daughter, while the boys saw The King’s Speech. I got ripped off! I do want to see Adjustment Bureau and True Grit.
Twitter: booksandmovies
says:
Sandy – you did indeed get ripped off! I hope you have been able to see The King’s Speech since then.
I liked adjustment bureau … But I really think the end could have been nice … I am thinking of true grit .. Btw I think if you like adjustment bureau .. You will like limitless as well, if you have not watched it.

Alpa – Limitless is one I really want to see when it comes out on DVD.
I still haven’t read Beastly. It’s too bad you didn’t love the movie…

Kelly – read the book but skip the film.
I’ve never heard of Beastly…but I’ve seen the other three and agree with you completely. And Hailee Steinfeld was amazing!
Twitter: booksandmovies
says:
Melissa – yes, I think she has a very fruitful career ahead of her.
Aw, Beastly. I was so looking forward to that movie. Sorry to hear it was such a disappointment!

says:
Alita – I know – I was bummed.
These are all movies I will be adding to my list!

Kathleen -enjoy!
I haven’t seen any of these, but I do want to see The Adjustment Bureau even though I’ve heard mixed reviews!

Stacy – I didn’t read many reviews of Adjustment Bureau – I just know that I loved it!
