From Disney and Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis (Best Director, Forrest Gump, 1994) comes the craziest adventure this side of the galaxy – Mars Needs Moms.
Take out the trash, eat your broccoli – who needs moms anyway? Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. In a race against time and oxygen, his quest to save her knows no bounds. And with some unexpected help, Milo just might find his way back to her – in more ways than one. Complete with intergalactic bonus features, it’s a thrilling journey that’s pure, out-of-this-world crazy fun.
I’ve enlisted the help of two of my boys in reviewing this one, as they belong to the target audience more than I do!
Noah’s review (13-years-old): Mars Needs Moms is about a normal boy who wakes up in the middle of the night to find his mom being kidnapped by aliens. Sneaking on to their ship, he follows them and eventually ends up on Mars, where he must rescue his mother. I thought it was funny at some parts. It had a good storyline to it, and I think that younger kids than me would enjoy it even more.
Jonathan’s review (11-years-old): I thought it was just okay. There were parts that were kind of dumb. There were a few funny parts that I liked, though, so it was kind of good.
Mars Needs Moms is available now on DVD. The special features on the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo include an extended opening, deleted scenes, and more.
