Today, I turn 40. Happy Birthday, Carrie. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Love your list of books. I haven’t even thought about the best reads for 2012 yet.

Thanks, Marleen! It was easy, since I keep a list of everything I’ve read, including my ratings. πŸ™‚

  7. Happy Birthday! And what a great idea! I will have to remember it for next year (although I’ll probably have to do favorite 40 of all time). πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful day, Carrie.

Wendy – I only thought of the idea last night, or else I would have done 40 of all time. I didn’t have time, though. πŸ™‚ Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Forty isn’t bad at all. I’ve been there and survived. Hope it’s one of your best years ever. On another note, I’ve only read (and loved) three books from your list: The Language of Flowers, Gone Girl, and Broken Harbor. I couldn’t make it through Code Name Verity. It disturbed me and I returned it to the library. I may try reading it again later.

Ann – I’m finding 40 just fine. πŸ™‚ And I can understand why Code Name Verity disturbed you – it is a rough read.

But many others are on my TBR!

Happy belated Birthday! Hope yesterday was great. The 40s aren’t so bad, things are more settled but nice in a way. I haven’t read too many on your list above, so I will get cracking.
