Warrior – Violent, well-acted, heart-breakingly stark film about father-son and brother-brother issues.

Tomorrow, When the War Began – Wonderful casting, but not nearly as good as the book.

Prometheus – Disappointing. Not what I expected. I must have missed something.

Looper – Love Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but this film was a confusing mess.

I really wanted to see Warrior. Not sure what happened. I also wanted to see Looper, but the description made me think it wouldn’t be good for the kids. We absolutely loved Prometheus. We even got it on 3D Blu Ray!

Sandy – Looper has some iffy stuff in it – some pretty gory places, as well as a scene where Piper Perabo spends a few minutes topless. I remember that you loved Prometheus – that’s why I think I must have missed something!
I really need to get back to the Tomorrow series. I haven’t seen the movie or read beyond book 1!

Kelly – I loved the whole series! I started the second series – The Ellie Chronicles – but I’m not loving them as much.
I’m with your on Prometheus, but I loved Looper

Stacy – Looper left me feeling down and dark. Probably partly just where I am right now personally.

I completely agree about Warrior (amazingly well acted…Tom Hardy is amazing) and Prometheus (I’m sorry but I just couldn’t stand that many stupid people! LOL) I’ve never heard of Tomorrow, When the War Began and I’ll go into Looper preapred now! Thanks!

Melissa – Tomorrow, When the War Began is based on the first book in an Australian dystopian series – the books are amazing!
I haven’t seen any of these yet but had high hopes for Looper. I’m sorry to hear it was a disappointment.

I agree about Tomorrow, the only one I’ve seen. They captured the characters, but they didn’t capture the magic of the book. I read the Ellie Chronicles but I liked the original series much better. I still liked the second series, just not as much.

Amy – it probably had more to do with my state of mind at the time than the film itself.
