Book lists:

~ Amazon lists their choices for best books of the year

Reading challenges:

~ Candace has posted the sign-up post for What’s in a Name 6 – this is one of my favorite challenges.

~ Alyce has decided to host the Colorful Reading Challenge again – I’m going to try this one, too.

Book to movie news:

~ The trailer for World War Z looks amazing! I really need to read the book before the film comes out.

~ I’m also very excited about the Les Miserables film.

~ One more: The City of Bones trailer premiered on MTV. Looks fantastic!

The City of Bones trailer just convinced me I need to give that first book a chance…am I the only one who hasn’t read it?

Well, The Fault in Our Stars and Gone Girl are on my top books of the year list too! And I have seen that Les Miz trailer something like four or five times in the theater, and every time I get all teary and weepy and emotional. I have not read the book though. I should, shouldn’t I? I did see it in London on the stage and it brought me to my knees.

Sandy – I haven’t read the book, either, though I’ve seen the touring production twice.

There’s a lot of chatter among my friends about Les Miz. It looks like it is going to be fantastic. The question seems to be if it will be possible to get away from the family to see it Christmas Day! :)

Ann – This is the only time I’ve been tempted to go see a movie on Christmas Day. Won’t do it, but am tempted….
