2012 Essay Challenge Giveaway

December is here, and that means that the 2012 Essay Challenge is at its end. I enjoyed the reading I did for my own Essay Challenge, and I hope you enjoyed yours as well.

All of you who fulfilled your commitment level and wrote at least one review of an essay or essay collection is eligible to enter the giveaway. The prize is a copy of Best American Essays 2012, sponsored by the wonderful Wendy at Musings of a Bookish Kitty.

If you are eligible for the giveaway, please leave a comment below. I will close the giveaway at 11:59 p.m. PST, Friday, December 14th, and draw the winner’s name the next day.

Thanks to all of you for reading along with me! Check back later in the month to sign up for Essay Challenge 2013.

  1. Not sure if I met my target or not – I fell behind with things when my mother was ill, and never caught up, but I enjoyed the essay challenge enormously. It’s a very different format to fiction, with a much tighter writing format, and a much more personal approach. I’ve still got some writers I read but didn’t review, including Mark Twain, who is brilliant, very funny, and still very topical and relevant. And I’ve got some authors in the TBR pile, including Hazlitt, so I’ll keep reading essays!

oops, I am too slow! :( I did finish, though, so YAY!

I plan to do next year and have all ready read an essay collection because I was thinking the challenge starts in December… Oh, well, I am just early. :)
