This has been a wonderful week, and the kids are counting the days down until Christmas. No school this week meant more time to read, play board games, and blog. Aside from normal housework, laundry, and shopping, the week consisted of mostly fun activities, with Friday being a whole day of parties. We spent the afternoon with Michelle and her family, eating wonderful food and visiting while the kids played board games. Then Friday night, Kevin and the kids went to a Christmas party at youth group and I played cards with Mom and Dad and some friends.
Today will consist of church, reading, and watching football. The Seahawks have been on fire lately, and I am really hoping their streak continues with their game against the 49ers tonight. My reading will be from Stay by Allie Larkin; Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card; and Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. If I have time, I’ll work on the last two of my favorites posts (speculative fiction and audiobooks) and my end-of-year reading stats post.
I probably won’t be online much Monday and Tuesday. Monday will consist of last-minute prep and a Christmas Eve service. And Tuesday, well, Tuesday is Christmas! I hope all of you who are celebrating have a joyous, blessed holiday.
