I have a huge confession and apology – I have not finished Bleak House yet. To be honest, this book is killing me! I still have a couple hundred pages to go, and hope to finish it within the next week. I am not loving it like I loved Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities, and I find all the different plot threads a bit confusing. I love Esther’s story, and keep wishing I could just get back to what’s happening to her. I will persevere, however – this book will not win!

Have fun! I enjoyed it but I recommend you write down characters names and who they are because there are aplenty! And the BBC miniseries is great.

This book is huge and February is the shortest month of the year; it was a real push to finish on time! I loved this book though so it was easy to make myself sit down and read. I want to watch the BBC miniseries soon; it will be interesting to see what they leave in and out.
