Recently finished reading: Remembering by Wendell Berry (brilliant, of course), and Left Neglected by Lisa Genova (loved it)
Listening to: Shadow People by James Swain
Thankful for: Four healthy, happy kids and the new friends they’ve made here in Chewelah. Leading worship at our new church. When we first started going to this church, I had no desire to get involved in music after the experience I had at the last one. But I jumped in last month, and have rediscovered the joy of church music when it is ministry, not performance. Lesson plans for the fall are almost completed – and we don’t even go back until the day after Labor Day! The fix we found for the van seems to be working just fine. 35.8 pounds lost so far. And, most importantly, God’s mercies that are new every day.
What are you doing this first Sunday in August? Reading anything good?
