Lately: It’s been a good, busy week. I worked at church a couple more days, and then on Thursday we took the kids to the lake for the afternoon. Friday afternoon we went to a BBQ at a friend’s house, and stayed for fireworks. The kids had a lot of fun, and it was loud. I did have fun visiting with friends from church, even though the fireworks aren’t really my thing. We’ve got a busy week of more fun planned ahead – trying to fit in some outings while my nephew is here.
Reading: American Gods by Neil Gaiman; The Fever by Megan Abbott; and Evergreen by Rebecca Rasmussen
Recently finished reading: A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
Watching: We watched the new Robocop last Sunday for Family Movie Night, and we watched Escape Plan this week, too. Both are very entertaining popcorn flicks. Tonight it is Natalie’s turn to pick, and so we are watching Catching Fire. Again.
