I read A Prayer For Owen Meany years ago but still remember how it made me feel. I loved that book!

  2. Some of those are on my list too, although a couple I think I read in 2013 so they were on last year’s list instead! What’s amazing is that with all the books bloggers read, there are still zillions we haven’t and then find on end of the year “best” lists!

Rhapsodyinbooks – I know! My to-read list always grows by leaps and bounds at the end of the year.

what a great list of books . I still need to one plus one– everyone on twitter has been raving about this author. 🙂

  4. The Lord of the Rings . . . I so want to read those books again. I just saw the final Hobbit movie last week.

I may not have cared all that much for A Prayer for Owen Meany, but the cover is one of my favorites of the year. That counts for something, right?

    Great list, Carrie.

I’ve read about a third of these, and loved them. I need to read the Fowler book.

So many of these are my favorites as well. Like Jill said, it is amazing how many of the same books all rise to the top for us.

Sandy – it’s because we’re all talking to each other about what we’re reading!

  7. I have two of those on my list: Eleanor and Park and of course, A Prayer for Owen Meany. I’ll have to look at and consider some of the others too. I’ve heard of a few of them but not all of them.
